About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. As a leading provider of community healthcare services in Sussex, we offer a supportive and dynamic work environment that promotes mental wellbeing and emotional resilience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based low-intensity interventions to patients who access our Talking Therapies service, drawing from CBT theories and techniques.
  • Undertake clinical risk assessments and take appropriate action to ensure patient safety.
  • Work with colleagues to formulate, implement, and evaluate therapy programs for clients.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload within agreed limits and supervision, ensuring high-quality care is provided to a diverse range of patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience working with patients on telephone, face-to-face, and group settings.
  • Evidence of working with individuals who have experienced mental health issues.
  • Ability to develop therapeutic relationships and communicate effectively with patients.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills, with attention to confidentiality, data protection, and information governance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications.
  • Familiarity with IAPTus or equivalent patient computerized health record systems.
  • Knowledge of stepped care approaches and Improving Access to Psychological Therapies.
