Join Our Team as a Part-time Rowing Mentor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sport mentor to join our team at British Rowing.

About the Role:

  • Programme Leadership: Collaborate with Programme Managers to lead the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) Programme.
  • Athlete Development: Develop and implement strategies to support athlete progression throughout the programme.
  • Event Planning: Assist in planning and delivering DiSE Programme Induction, Virtual Sessions, and Camps.
  • Programme Promotion: Promote the DiSE Programme to rowers, coaches, and clubs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to Programme Managers and other staff members.
  • Athlete Progression: Monitor and support athlete progression throughout the programme.
  • Policy Implementation: Uphold and promote all British Rowing's policies, including Codes of Behaviour, Welfare, and Clean Sport Policies.
  • Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as required by Programme Managers.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Development Experience: Have experience in coaching or development.
  • First Aid Training: Currently hold or be willing to obtain First Aid training.
  • Safeguarding Training: Currently hold or be willing to attend Safeguarding and Protecting Children training.
  • DBS Clearance: Currently hold or will be required to complete a DBS documentation obtained through British Rowing.

Remuneration:

This is a part-time role requiring 5-10 hours/month, with an estimated annual salary of £29,500.
