About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team at Absolute Taste. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning, including internal and external events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage event planning from start to finish, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Chair operational meetings to ensure all departments are aligned and informed.
  • Upsell to clients to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain a working relationship with preferred supplier list.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of venue and vendor offerings, and provide tours to clients.
  • Coordinate event entertainment, AV, decoration, and other ad-hoc requirements.
  • Issue invoices and collect payments in a timely manner.
  • Manage and oversee events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors.
  • Create sales opportunities for future events during client liaisons and during events.
  • Support the Sales & Events Manager as needed.
Requirements
  • High attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure to meet targets.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with flexibility to adapt to changes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others.
  • Commercial acumen and business awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • IT skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Aptitude for conducting targeted research to develop new sales leads.
  • Organization and time management, keeping to deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Maximizing sales.
  • Team player.
  • Data entry – online events system.
  • Experience with chefs, kitchen, and food would be preferred.
  • Previous experience in an event environment is essential for this role.
