About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Sales Manager to join our team at Absolute Taste. As an Event Sales Manager, you will be responsible for representing Mercedes-Benz World onsite, managing event diary, and negotiating with clients to ensure profitable and successful events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with incoming sales enquiries and presenting bespoke proposals to suit client event needs.
  • Managing event diary to strategically sell event spaces and activities on the venue's booking system.
  • Negotiating with clients to ensure we convert enquiries to profitable and successful events.
  • Effectively handing over from sales to one of the team's event coordinators, ensuring all details are passed over correctly.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients to prospect new business.
  • Bringing in new business through proactive sales, including networking, site visits, and trade shows.
  • Managing your sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets in line with KPIs.
  • Attending team meetings and coming up with new ideas on how to generate new business leads and increase sales.
  • Hosting site visits and FAM trips at the venue to potential new clients.
  • Reviewing lost business and touching base with these clients.
  • Reviewing forecasts and highlighting risks and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Desire and drive to sell events passionately.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Positive, confident, and determined approach.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and sales targets.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Excellent personal presentation.
  • Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection.
  • IT skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
