Event Sales Executive Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Event Sales Executive to join our team at Mercedes-Benz World.

As an Event Sales Executive, you will be responsible for representing Mercedes-Benz World on-site and developing strong relationships with clients to drive sales and revenue growth.

Your primary focus will be on selling event spaces and activities on-site, as well as managing prospect opportunities and converting them into successful events.

You will also be responsible for communicating company policies and processes to clients, ensuring they are aware of any restrictions prior to agreeing to their event contract.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Dealing with incoming sales enquiries via our website, over the phone or through our third-party listings.
  • Receiving client requirements and presenting bespoke proposals to suit their event needs.
  • Managing event diary to strategically sell event spaces and activities on the venues booking system.
  • Negotiating with clients to ensure we convert enquiries to profitable and successful events.
  • Effectively handing over from sales to one of the team's event coordinators, ensuring all details are passed over correctly.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients to prospect new business.
  • Bringing in new business through pro-active sales including networking, site visits, calls and trade shows.
  • Managing your sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets in line with KPIs.
  • Attending team meetings and coming up with new ideas on how to generate new business leads and increase sales.

Key skills required for this role include:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Positive, confident and determined approach.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and sales targets.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Excellent personal presentation.
  • Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection.
  • IT skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Please note that previous experience in an event sales environment is preferred for this role.
