Biomedical Healthcare Specialist

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to fill the role of Associate Biomedical Practitioner in our Cellular Pathology department. This position involves participating in various aspects of routine Cellular Pathology, including specimen reception, microtomy, embedding, special staining techniques, and Immunohistochemistry.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to organize their workload and demonstrate initiative. Experience of working in a Cellular Pathology laboratory is advantageous, but not essential. The post holder will also be expected to help support the training and development of junior staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in all aspects of routine Cellular Pathology
- Perform Histology techniques such as embedding, microtomy, and staining
- Support the training and development of junior staff
Requirements:
- Foundation degree or equivalent education/qualifications in Healthcare Science
- Experience of working in a laboratory setting (advantageous)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize own workload and demonstrate initiative
Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum
