Senior Drainage Design Engineer

BWB Consulting Ltd is a leading engineering and environmental design consultancy seeking a highly skilled Senior Drainage Design Engineer to join our Design Infrastructure team in Leeds.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Drainage Design Engineer to work on challenging projects, undertaking the preliminary and detailed design of drainage schemes, including highway drainage. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in developing their understanding and ability in civil engineering design and a willingness to research and take on new challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake the preliminary and detailed design of drainage schemes, including highway drainage
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and practices
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver complex projects from planning stage to completion
  • Develop and implement effective project coordination skills
  • Work with different types of clients, including developers, local authorities, and contractors, to meet their expectations and requirements
Requirements
  • Experience in the use of industry-standard design software packages, including Microdrainage
  • Knowledge of Civil 3D and its role in drainage design is desirable
  • Background in the field of drainage design with experience in highway drainage preferable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
