Senior Drainage Design Engineer

BWB Consulting Ltd is a leading engineering and environmental design consultancy with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Drainage Design Engineer to join our Design Infrastructure team in Leeds.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Drainage Design Engineer to work on challenging projects, including highway drainage schemes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design and a keen interest in developing their understanding and ability in drainage design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake the preliminary and detailed design of drainage schemes, including highway drainage
  • Work independently and use engineering judgement to tackle day-to-day problems
  • Delegate tasks and show a desire to develop junior members of the team
  • Develop project coordination skills and understand more about other disciplines' roles on projects
  • Work with different types of clients, including developers, local authorities, and contractors
Requirements
  • Experience in the use of industry-standard design software packages, including Microdrainage
  • Knowledge of Civil 3D and its role in drainage design is desirable
  • Background in drainage design with experience in highway drainage preferable but not essential
