Behaviour Mentor Opportunity

Horizon Teachers is working with an Alternative Provision in Enfield to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to support students in lessons and manage their behaviour. The school caters for Secondary aged students who have been permanently excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream school.

This is a full-time Behaviour Mentor role starting after the October half-term for the full academic year, until July 2025. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will need to be patient, energetic, and resilient in nature, with a positive attitude to create a relationship with the students.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Carrying out behaviour management in line with the school's policies and procedures
  • Supporting pupils inside and outside the classroom
  • Accompanying and supporting students with their academic and personal development
  • Being proactive in the class to ensure your learning support is tailored to each child's individual need
  • Using skills learned such as Team Teach, behaviour de-escalation, or Manual Handling
