The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality school nursing service, working closely with other healthcare professionals and educators to ensure seamless delivery of services. Key duties include providing comprehensive health care to students, promoting healthy lifestyles, and collaborating with schools to address the physical and mental health needs of children and adolescents.
As a key member of the CLCH Trust team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, educationalists, and community leaders to develop innovative solutions to improve the health and wellbeing of local children and families.
To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of child development and health promotion principles, and experience of working with children and families in a school setting. You should also be able to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide comprehensive school nursing services to children and young people in line with public health priorities
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other healthcare professionals to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent illness

**Requirements:**
- Registered Nurse/Midwife qualification
- Specialist Community Public Health Nurse School Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Experience of working with children and families in a school setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
