The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, with experience in developing and managing contracts with suppliers, as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with them.

To succeed in this position, you'll need:

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively at all levels
  • Strong data analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive business improvement
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to develop and implement procurement plans

The successful candidate will also possess:

  • A recognized procurement qualification or relevant work experience (minimum 4+ years in a Consumables and Fasteners environment)
  • Experience within the Rail industry (Infrastructure/Rolling Stock) with knowledge of the supplier market place and associated approvals requirements
  • Excellent commercial acumen, with the ability to analyze financial drivers and negotiate contracts
