About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of engineers, ensuring they are trained and guided to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake structured reviews of skills and performance across all technicians' disciplines.
  • Continually review and audit technicians' working practices, ethics, customer skills, and communication.
  • Prepare individual training plans based on development needs.
  • Conduct regular site-based audits within a defined region.
  • Perform PPE, plant, equipment, vehicle, and stock checks.
  • Audit company and customer-specific documentation.
  • Maintain and enhance communication across multiple office locations.
  • Provide general regional office-based assistance where required.
  • Assist with estimating and technical support for customer/site escalations.
  • Attend training sessions and cascade content to technicians (Train the Trainer qualification beneficial).
  • Research, review, and propose additional training to add value to the team.
  • Review technicians' performance and focus areas.
  • Provide IT support/training for tablet PC applications, mobile solutions, and customer interfaces.
  • Plan and control all overtime, call-out rota, and annual leave cover for engineers to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Requirements

  • Experience in training, supporting, and mentoring technicians.
  • Background in facilities management or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing engineers.
  • Experience in at least one or two trades, including gas, electrical, or air conditioning.
  • Positive, professional attitude with the ability to understand and disseminate technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A full UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points and no bans within the last 12 months.
