Overview

Citi is a leading global financial services company, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Governance Risk Manager to join our team in the UK. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the effective governance of our Technology activities impacting UK legal entities.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced risk professional to take on a senior leadership role within Citi's Technology organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and maintaining a holistic governance framework for Technology activities conducted for UK legal vehicles. This includes accountability for associated governance and information flows, as well as appropriate linkage to and leverage of established policies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive governance framework that ensures compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and Citi's policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Technology and other business units to ensure consistent governance practices and effective risk management.
  • Provide guidance and support to Technology teams on governance matters, including assurance and monitoring of risk controls and mitigation strategies.
  • Engage with UK regulatory bodies and industry groups to stay up-to-date on emerging trends and regulatory developments.
  • Work closely with the UK Technology Head to develop and implement strategic plans to improve governance and risk management capabilities.
  • Represent Technology in various forums, including governance committees and working groups, to ensure alignment with Citi's overall risk management strategy.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in risk management, governance, and compliance, preferably in a financial services or technology sector.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective governance frameworks and risk management programs.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including SMCR and UK data protection laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, finance, or law.

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a bonus scheme based on individual performance and company-wide goals.
