We are a leading provider of financial services products, and we are looking for a highly skilled Senior Prudential Risk Manager to join our team.

The role is based in the UK, but we consider other locations (India - Bangalore, Cork - Ireland, Mexico City - Mexico, or Manila - Philippines) if suitable candidates apply.

Job Description

The Global Risk team is responsible for overseeing Amazon's regulated financial services products. We are seeking a Senior Prudential Risk Manager with demonstrated expertise in Payment Services to provide 2nd line oversight and support for Prudential Risks for Financial Services entities.

  • Lead the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of the risk management framework and risk appetite limits relating to prudential risks for our Payments Entities.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and 2nd LoD representation for Finance, Treasury, and Accounting Departments regarding Prudential Risks.
  • Own, drive, and be the SME of prudential risk reporting, including regulatory capital calculation, liquidity assessments, setup of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), early warning indicators, and stress-testing scenarios.
  • Own Scenario Analysis process and drive workshops with Business Leaders.
  • Perform regulatory oversight and implementing new regulations into policies and procedures.
  • Provide timely independent reporting on prudential risks to respective Board committees of our Payment Entities.
  • Providing 2nd line oversight and support for Operational Risks (e.g., Outsourcing).

Requirements:

  • Detailed technical expertise in Financial Risk and/or Prudential Risk (capital and liquidity).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, technical environment.
  • Comfortable managing through ambiguity with strong bias for action.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a numerate subject.
  • 7+ years of experience of 2LoD prudential risk support/advisory in a financial institution, licensed money transmitter, payments related e-commerce function, consultancy, or bank.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
  • Experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Graduate Degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Mathematics (Preferred).

Estimated Salary Range: £85,000-£110,000 per annum
