A well-established Architectural & General Metalwork Fabricator based in Cambridgeshire is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work on steel structures projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial management and a strong understanding of steelwork.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing applications from subcontractors, preparing tender pack information, and monitoring project costs. They will also attend financial meetings and ensure cost control is maintained throughout the procurement, delivery, and design process.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assessing applications from subcontractors
  2. Preparing/sorting tender pack information
  3. Receiving and comparing quotes for future projects
  4. Monitoring Project Costs
Requirements
  • Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or Civil/Structural Engineering Discipline
  • Working knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract
  • Experience working in a commercial role
  • Understanding of steelwork
  • Excellent IT skills - especially Excel and Google Sheets
