About the Role

NHS Professionals Limited are seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to provide a high-quality, responsive service in supporting the delivery of the CAMHS Primary Mental Health Service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist CAMHS consultation, assessment, and interventions to Early Help Services, undertaking mental health assessments with other members of the Early Help services, and formulating packages of care to meet the mental health needs of children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing specialist CAMHS consultation, assessment, and interventions to Early Help Services
  • Undertaking mental health assessments with other members of the Early Help services
  • Formulating packages of care to meet the mental health needs of children and families
  • Providing universal group work to professionals, parents, or young people to promote good mental health and problem prevention
  • Using their own knowledge of a range of therapeutic interventions to provide treatment for young people using specific clinical intervention/strategies

Person Specification

  • Current Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy Registration
  • Post-registration clinical training relevant to CAMHS/Mental Health
  • Teaching and Assessing ENB 998/Mentorship or equivalent
  • Significant post-registration experience within a CAMHS/Mental Health Setting
  • Hold a current UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
