We are currently working with a housing association in Yorkshire that is seeking an experienced Income Officer to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maximising income for the organisation.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the collection of income and prevention of arrears escalation, providing excellent support to tenants. Key responsibilities include:

  • Income Maximisation: Supporting the team in managing arrears recovery and income collection to ensure financial sustainability for the organisation.
  • Customer Support: Working closely with tenants to assess their financial situation, providing pre-tenancy assessments and supporting early interventions to prevent arrears.
  • Welfare Benefits Knowledge: Advising tenants on available benefits and supporting them in accessing welfare benefits to maximise their income and sustain their tenancy.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Building strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

    Salary: The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
