About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Barchester Healthcare as a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical). As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and developing teams in various care homes across the region, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and service.

Working closely with the General Manager or hiring manager, you will help implement action plans to meet the needs of our residents. You will also take on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, helping with everything from care standards to motivating your team.

As a Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager, you will inspire a multidisciplinary team to ensure every resident enjoys the best possible quality of life. This means leading by example, monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and checking our regulatory compliance.

About You

To join us as a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification. Previous experience of working within a nursing home setting is essential, and evidence of continual professional development is also required.

Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. We will also look for some HR experience, a strong knowledge of sales and marketing, an understanding of budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
