About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Barchester Healthcare as a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical). As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and developing teams in various care homes across the region.

Working closely with the General Manager, you will help implement action plans to ensure the highest standards of care and service are delivered to our residents. You will also take on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, helping with everything from care standards to motivating your team.

As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and developing teams in various care homes across the region
  • Implementing action plans to ensure the highest standards of care and service are delivered
  • Leading by example and monitoring standards through regular audits and checks
  • Developing and delivering strategies to achieve goals and improve quality of life for residents

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification. Previous experience of working within a nursing home setting is essential, and evidence of continual professional development is also required.

You will also need to have experience in helping residents with different health needs, managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments, and supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
