Safeguarding Nurse Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Safeguarding Children's Team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. This role presents an excellent opportunity to work with vulnerable children and young people in the community, using your expertise to improve their health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

This role involves gathering relevant information about 0-19 health, supporting interagency decision-making, contributing to multiagency decision-making, offering appropriate challenge to partner agencies, liaising with other Safeguarding Teams, and supporting audit to gather themes and identify learning. To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, a passion for public health, and good organisational skills. You must also possess a full UK driving licence and have access to your own transport.

Essential and Desirable Qualifications

  • A current NMC registration.
  • Continuing professional development within the last 12 months.
  • A post-registration qualification in Health Visiting or School Nursing degree or equivalent experience.
  • Additional relevant qualifications or equivalent knowledge.
  • Awareness of contextual safeguarding.
