About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at The Crescent Day Service in Lambeth. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to engage in meaningful activities and promote their independence, choice, dignity, health, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals with personal care needs, maintaining overall hygiene and promoting independence.
  • Work closely with carers, health professionals, and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide postural management and a range of activities.
  • Develop and promote the Day Services, working closely as a team member to promote Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI).
  • Provide high-quality care and support, ensuring individuals' needs are met and their rights are respected.

Requirements:

  • Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
  • Experience in a day service or social care setting, or a good understanding of gaining the best outcomes for individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities, Dementia.
  • Ability to work as a co-keyworker with a small number of service users.
  • Confidence working in a team and on your own as needed.
