Quality Assurance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Elevation Recruitment Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management System, leading internal audits, and implementing corrective actions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in quality assurance, working closely with our senior operations team to drive continuous improvement.

The Quality Assurance Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services, aligning with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain AS 9100 Quality Management System.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit systems and monitor subcontract performance.
  • Carry out internal and external audits as required.
  • Manage and review specifications and certifications.
  • Support the Quality Manager in their absence.
  • Represent the Quality Team at supplier/customer meetings.
  • Manage non-conformance reporting and implement corrective actions using DMAIC/8D processes.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of AS9100.
  • Experience in a quality-focused role with quality systems management.
  • Audit management experience (ISO9001 lead auditor preferred).
  • Knowledge of quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, 6 Sigma, 8D, and 5 Why.
Salary and Benefits

■ Competitive salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
