Consultant Psychiatrist for Older Adults

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to our multi-disciplinary teams, working closely with Care Co-ordinators and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the RITT and MAS teams, working closely with Care Co-ordinators and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
- Conduct assessments and provide diagnoses for patients referred to the service.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines.
- Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise.
- On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months.
- Section 12 approved or within 3 months.
- AC Status or within 6 months.
- Knowledge, skills and experience appropriate to this role.
- At least SPAs as standard for a full-time post.
- Excellent peer support group.
- Study leave budget of £3000 over 3 years or up to £5000 over 3 years for newly qualified Consultants.
- Opportunities to be a clinical supervisor.
