About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist for Older Adults, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of older adults with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of mental health services for older adults.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat older adults with mental health conditions, including those with complex needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff and students.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise.
  • On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months.
  • Section 12 approved or within 3 months.
  • AC Status or within 6 months.
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience appropriate to this role.
