Job Title: SEMh Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision Role

Job Description:

We are seeking a strong and confident SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist Alternative Provision in Lichfield. The school is a specialist setting for young people with social emotional mental health needs and will involve working with autism. Some students are highly anxious and require a calm and predictable environment to access their education.

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be part of a small team assisting a class teacher in delivering lessons to students, as well as providing support outside of the classrooms, while students are in school. Your roles will include, 1:1 work, work in small groups, monitoring the school during lunches and breaks etc.

Key Requirements:

* Minimum 6 months' experience working with children and young people

* Enhanced DBS registered or willing to acquire a new certificate

* Will be kind, caring and patient when dealing with children who require specialist support
