About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced manager to lead our Parks and Open Spaces team. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the use and benefits of our parks and open spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of technical and operational staff to deliver high-quality services and programmes
  • Develop and manage partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to ensure effective service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Manage and maintain parks and open spaces to ensure they are safe, accessible, and enjoyable for the community
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace and service delivery
Requirements

We are looking for a suitably experienced and driven manager who can provide strong leadership and direction. You will have a proven track record of managing parks and open spaces or similar, including operational management, people management, service planning, and effective partnership working.

You will have a solid understanding of and be an advocate for the principles of diversity and inclusion in relation to workplace culture and service delivery.
