Primary School Teaching Assistant

Our primary school is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting children with special educational needs and be able to work collaboratively with teachers to develop personalized plans.
Responsibilities:- Support pupils with special educational needs in the specialist provision setting
- Work closely with teachers to implement EHCPs and develop personalized plans for each pupil
- Establish positive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and addressing individual needs
- Assist with classroom preparation, lesson planning, and resource management
- Help with routines, transitions, behaviour management, and promote inclusion
- Previous experience working with children, including those with additional needs
- NVQ Level 3 in Teaching Assistance or equivalent qualification/experience (not essential)
- Knowledge of child development, learning processes, and strategies to overcome learning barriers
£22,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
