About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to join our team at Tenpin. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our centre, including the development and growth of our people, sales, and profits.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a culture that ensures consistent excellence in customer service and experience.
- Develop the business through proactive local sales promotions and the effective delivery of centrally developed products and promotions.
- Produce an annual business plan for the business, identifying key areas for growth and financial improvement, in liaison with the Regional Manager.
- Ensure rigorous systems of financial control and management are in place, and that all key financial targets are met.
- Create a professional working environment that fosters the development of all team members, through adequate training, regular appraisals, and fair and consistent management.
- Be fully involved in the delivery of the corporate strategy and provide effective feedback to the Executive Team as appropriate.
- Provide a safe and secure environment for both staff and customers.
- Provide support to the team on the centre floor when required.
- Lead from the front and support the team on departments when necessary.
- Ensure the unit is self-sufficient with regards to sickness, holiday, vacancies, and any other required cover.
- Ensure the rota is adhered to by all Management.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience within a hands-on general manager role, ideally within the leisure or hospitality industry.
- Experience in leading and developing large teams.
- Experience in optimising revenue and overall business performance.
- Full of determination, enthusiasm, and patience.
- Fully flexible and highly adaptable to change.
