Substance Misuse Specialist Physician

About the Role
Change Grow Live is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Doctor to join their substance misuse treatment service in Gateshead.
As a Specialist Doctor, you will be responsible for providing clinical assessments and prescribing regimes to clients with substance misuse issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting clinical assessments and prescribing regimes to clients with substance misuse issues
- Liaising closely with other professionals and organisations, including non-statutory addiction services and adult psychiatric services
- Working with the nursing team to ensure effective administration, including record keeping and discharge summaries
- Attending multidisciplinary meetings to promote the nomination of named link workers and integrated care pathways
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A medical degree and completion of Basic Medical Training and Full GMC UK Registration with License to Practice
- Experience in delivering evidence-based treatments in substance misuse
- Good knowledge of addiction psychiatry and legislation relating to mental health
- Demonstrable evidence of effective communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people
