We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substance Misuse Lead Nurse to join our dedicated nursing team in Health and Justice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and guidance to our staff on matters related to physical health and wellbeing within the prison setting.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and a passion for patient care. You will be responsible for managing our skilled substance misuse team, providing robust clinical substance misuse support, and operational guidance to all staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to staff on matters related to physical health and wellbeing
  • Manage the daily operations of the Substance Misuse Service, including co-ordination of patient care and provision of strong clinical leadership
  • Assess, diagnose, provide advice, and administer care to patients
  • Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and understanding of health issues and treatment options
