Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our cost management team on a prestigious infrastructure-based project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform the role of Commission Manager, responsible for end-to-end service delivery.
  • Act as the key client interface, ensuring client objectives are met through delivery of a value-added cost management service.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, write procurement reports, and apply Value Management techniques.
  • Manage estimating and cost planning activities, including presenting the final cost plan.
  • Ensure effective procurement process management, including pre-qualification, enquiry, analysis, selection, and contract preparation.
  • Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
  • Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to the client.
  • Value engineering and life cycle costing.
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts.
  • Lead a cost management team, ensuring delivery of all accountabilities.
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
  • Identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities.
  • Work with Directors to construct bids for new work.
  • Improve cost management procedures, templates, and products.
  • Staff management, including input into formal management of Senior Cost Managers and Assistant Cost Managers.

Requirements

  • Experience of working on major Rail projects.
  • Proven Cost/Commercial Management experience.
  • Preferably MRICS.
  • NEC3 contracts, particularly Option C – Target Cost.
  • Post-contract administration.
  • Experience of working on Major Programmes and Projects.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams.
