About the Role

We are looking for a talented School Group Leader to lead our team at SRG. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence in drug discovery.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. To suggest, craft and carry out innovative experiments within an expert team of DMPK and PKPD Scientists.
  2. To monitor and maintain an up-to-date awareness of progression in the DMPK and PKPD sector, suggesting next steps in the experimental process and evaluation of novel techniques.
  3. To contribute to the leadership of the Medicinal Chemistry and DMPK group and the Therapeutic innovation strategy.
  4. To manage outsourcing activity and operational resources to ensure effective delivery of projects.
  5. To oversee internal expertise, apportioning capacity and resources which inform governance and decision-making around portfolio support and technology development.
  6. To ensure consistent high-quality data integrity within the DMPK group, presenting compelling data interpretation to guide research strategy and direction.

Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Drug Metabolism or Pharmacokinetics (or closely related)
  • Proven expertise in the DMPK space for drug discovery
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering PK, PKPD and TKPD expertise to projects including mechanistic PKPD modelling for therapeutic dose prediction
  • Highly skilled in use of MATLAB, SimCYP, WinNonLin/Phoenix NLME
