About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Planning Executive to join our marketing team and support the development of our annual campaign plan, ensuring alignment with customer needs and trading objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver strategic marketing initiatives that drive business growth and customer engagement.




  • Maintain a rolling 18-month marketing plan, collaborating with the Senior Planning Manager to ensure timely delivery and stakeholder buy-in.
  • Support the creation of customer-led campaign plans, leveraging data and insights to inform decision-making and drive business results.
  • Manage end-to-end marketing projects, defining SMART objectives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and implement project plans, identifying key milestones, measures of success, and opportunities for cost and efficiency improvements.
  • Drive process improvements, working with the marketing agencies and internal teams to ensure seamless execution and effective delivery.
  • Lead campaign planning meetings, briefing channel delivery teams on campaign activity and ensuring alignment with trading objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Motoring and Cycling trading teams to ensure campaign briefs align with wider activity and drive business growth.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including category, ops, space, finance, IT, and propositions, to deliver aligned marketing plans and drive business results.
  • Analyse campaign performance against established KPIs, identifying areas for future improvements and informing data-driven decision-making.

  • Proven marketing experience, with a track record of delivering successful campaigns and projects.
  • Experience managing multiple project timelines, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong cross-functional working skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with experience managing multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
  • Proactive attitude, with a motivation to challenge the status quo and propose new creative ideas.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to groups and influencing stakeholders.
  • Good influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and drive business results.
  • Ability to analyse customer insight and inform decision-making, with a strong understanding of data-driven marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and a good level of computer literacy.


Estimated Salary Range

£35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
