About the Role:

We are seeking a Night Porter to join our team at The Knaresborough Inn. As a Night Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the inn during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Duty Manager
  • Greeting and checking in guests
  • Dealing with guest enquiries at the bar, reception, and over the phone
  • Operating the till and preparing bills/checking in and out
  • Serving guests in a professional manner
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant, lounge, and toilets
  • Preparing the restaurant for breakfast and setting up the buffet table
  • Conducting security checks around the inn
  • Following departmental policies, procedures, and service standards

Requirements:

  • Able to work independently
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Upbeat and positive attitude
  • Great communication and organisational skills
