AndersElite is seeking an experienced Environmental and Sustainability Manager to join our team in the City of London. This is a key role in a major construction project, requiring a strong background in environmental management and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement Environmental Management systems on the project, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Develop and maintain procurement documentation that reflects the project's sustainability requirements.
- Conduct regular site surveillances and audits to ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability standards.
- Lead initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and waste, and ensure that goods and services are ethically procured.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand client sustainability requirements and deliver environmental assessments.
- Report project performance against client requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Communicate best practices across the business unit and deliver training on environmental management and sustainability.
- Proven experience in a construction environmental/sustainability role.
- Strong knowledge of environmental assessment methods (BREEAM, LEED etc.).
- Ability to technically review, advise, and manage delivery of improved sustainability performance and environmental assessments.
- Experience in managing delivery of company and client sustainability requirements from preconstruction to practical completion.
