Environmental Sustainability Manager

Alstom is a leading global provider of sustainable mobility solutions, and we are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team in the UK and Ireland region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing environmental projects and initiatives across the region, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting sustainable practices throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental management plans to minimize the environmental impact of our operations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Conduct environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize environmental impacts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and local communities to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on environmental policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Full Member of IEMA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in a rail or transportation industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
