Job Title: Specialist Adult Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) – Band 6 Equivalent

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our team, providing high-quality assessment and intervention services, primarily to clients with brain injuries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth assessments for both communication difficulties and dysphagia, providing tailored interventions that meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Work closely with clients in their own homes, creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, setting clear goals and providing intensive support throughout their rehabilitation journey.
  • Collaborate as part of an MDT, working transdisciplinarily with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each client.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation, including clinical notes, progress reports, treatment plans, and goal-setting documents.
  • Conduct swallowing assessments and provide effective management strategies for clients with dysphagia, ensuring their safety and comfort during mealtimes.
Requirements:
  • Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council).
  • RCSLT membership (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists).
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
