Job Title: Specialist Adult Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Speech Tools Therapy Limited. The successful candidate will provide high-quality assessment and intervention services to clients with brain injuries, working closely with clients in their own homes to improve communication and swallowing abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct in-depth assessments for communication difficulties and dysphagia, providing tailored interventions that meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Client-Centred Care: Work closely with clients in their own homes, creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, setting clear goals, and providing intensive support throughout their rehabilitation journey.
  • Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration: Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, working transdisciplinarily with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each client.
  • Report Writing and Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation, including clinical notes, progress reports, treatment plans, and goal-setting documents.
  • Goal Setting and Review: Work closely with clients and their families to set achievable, meaningful goals, regularly reviewing and adapting therapy plans as progress is made.
  • Dysphagia Management: Conduct swallowing assessments and provide effective management strategies for clients with dysphagia, ensuring their safety and comfort during mealtimes.
  • Driving and Home Visits: Conduct regular home visits across Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas, delivering therapy directly to clients in their living environments.
Requirements:
  • Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council).
  • RCSLT membership (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists).
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
