Job Title: Health and Safety Operations Manager

Estimated Salary: £62,000 - £72,500 per annum

Location: London Gatwick

About the Role:

This Health and Safety Operations Manager role involves overseeing the implementation and delivery of safety management systems across all airport activities, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in performance.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Health and Safety, with experience in managing risk and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement safety policies: Ensure clear information, instruction, and guidance are accessible to all business units.
  2. Support business units: Provide clear information, coaching, and support to business units in achieving effective safety management systems with a risk management approach.
  3. Drive HSE strategy: Ensure GAL's HSE strategy and Second Decade of Change is actively driven in line with GAL's business agenda.
  4. Reporting: Regular reporting of HSE metrics is delivered in line with GAL's business agenda.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent: Essential
  • Lead Auditor training for ISO 45001: Desired
  • Extensive experience of HSE in a multi-function, customer-oriented organisation: Required
  • Proven track record in delivery of HSE objectives: Essential
