About the Role

American International Group (AIG) is seeking a highly skilled Lead Capital Modeller to join our Economic Capital Modelling Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and testing of our new capital model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of our new capital model, ensuring it aligns with our risk profile and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Enterprise Risk Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, and Finance, to gather business requirements and design the model.
  • Present model changes and developments to Risk Committees, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Work closely with the Capital Modelling Team to identify opportunities for advanced uses of the Economic Capital Models and ad-hoc business uses.

Requirements

  • Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary with extensive experience in General Insurance Economic Capital Modelling.
  • Strong knowledge of stochastic modelling techniques, including Insurance Risk, Market & Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Reinsurance, and aggregation methods.
  • Experience in large projects and team coordination, with a focus on quality control and review.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write reports and deliver presentations.
