At 3M, we're committed to innovation and excellence. As a Procurement Specialist, you'll play a critical role in driving our business forward by sourcing and managing high-quality materials and services.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned capital expenditure sub-commodities and develop regional/global strategies to establish a preferred suppliers list.
  • Lead medium to complex procurement projects, collaborating with peers and initiating initiatives to enhance supplier benefits in areas such as technology, quality, responsiveness, delivery, and cost.
  • Determine and implement solutions for business distribution and awarding.
  • Conduct complex contract negotiations, considering Total Cost of Ownership, and consult with legal staff as needed.
  • Utilize various procurement negotiation techniques and tools to address complex global problems.
  • Provide leadership within the direct work group/team, making decisions that impact operational effectiveness and important programs.
  • Engage in communication with internal and external clients, including project leads, engineering managers, and department/area/business heads.
  • Offer consulting assistance and present project recommendations to management, demonstrating effective planning aligned with business needs and goals.
Your Qualifications:
  • A completed Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in one or more sub commodities, or a willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading complex procurement projects.
