Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Specialist to join our Commercial team at the John Lewis Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our procurement processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers while maintaining a competitive edge in the market.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to drive business growth and improve profitability.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with our procurement policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform procurement decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure high-quality products from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and competitive pricing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform procurement decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement or a related field, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and policies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
