Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Specialist to join our Commercial team at the John Lewis Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our procurement processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers while maintaining a competitive edge in the market.

About the Role:

  • Manage and optimize our procurement processes to ensure efficient and effective delivery of products to our customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements that meet our business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the procurement process.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform procurement decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with our business objectives.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, agreements, and supplier performance.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues and improve overall performance.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management on procurement activities and performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement or a related field, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
