Job Overview
The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Health and Wellbeing Advisor to join their team. This exciting opportunity will enable the successful candidate to guide, educate, and support staff members in improving their physical and mental health.
Main Duties of the Job
The role involves developing and facilitating workshops to promote healthy lifestyle choices and provide guidance on how to manage physical and mental health. The successful candidate will work to reduce health inequalities and develop health information to ensure staff have a good understanding of health and wellbeing.
Working for Our Organisation
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff, which includes a leadership development programme and a Quality Improvement Programme. The successful candidate will be expected to attend these programmes, which aim to promote Trust Values and Behaviours, develop leadership effectiveness, and equip staff with the skills to champion and lead quality improvement.
Person Specification
- Specialist knowledge of Health and Wellbeing and current national and local policies relating to wellbeing.
- Knowledge of weight management, healthy eating, alcohol awareness, smoking cessation awareness, and the National Health and Wellbeing Agenda.
- Ability to develop and facilitate workshops.
Qualifications and Training
- Registered nurse/midwife.
Experience
- Experience of delivering healthy lifestyle advice on a 1-1 and/or group basis, translating health improvement knowledge into practice.
