About the Role
The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Health and Wellbeing Advisor to join their team. This exciting opportunity will enable the successful candidate to make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of staff members.
Main Responsibilities
The Health and Wellbeing Advisor will be responsible for guiding, educating, and supporting staff members in improving their physical and mental health. This will involve developing knowledge, skills, and confidence to change health-related behaviours, ultimately enhancing their overall quality of life.
The role will also involve reducing health inequalities and developing health information in various ways to ensure staff have a comprehensive understanding of good health and healthy lifestyles.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Specialist knowledge of Health and Wellbeing and current national and local policies relating to wellbeing.
- Knowledge of weight management, healthy eating, alcohol awareness, smoking cessation, and the National Health and Wellbeing Agenda.
- Ability to develop and facilitate workshops.
Desirable Criteria
- MECC trained
- Coaching experience
Experience
Essential Criteria
- Experience of delivering healthy lifestyle advice on a 1-1 and/or group basis, translating health improvement knowledge into practice.
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of models of behaviour change to increase activation to make positive changes.
- Experienced Trained Health Advocate.
- Experience in delivering immunisations.
