Job Title: Executive Chef - The Savoy

Inspired & supported by: Our Executive Chef, we are seeking a skilled Chef De Partie to join our team at The Savoy.

Your purpose will be to assist the Chef Sous Chef and Senior Chef De Partie in the production of morning goods to the required standard, assist with any training needs, and help control the section you are working on.

You will be accountable for:

  1. Ensuring the uniform provided is kept clean, presentable, and in good condition, setting an example for the team in personal appearance and hygiene standards.
  2. Coordinating all team members to ensure they perform well and work cohesively.
  3. Checking and supervising all aspects of the kitchen.
  4. Working closely with Sous chefs on all day-to-day matters.
  5. Ensuring all information relating to bookings and movement is communicated and understood by all team members.
  6. Checking function sheets daily and communicating any movements to the team.
  7. Supervising and demonstrating cooking methods for all outlets when required.
  8. Observing and testing foods being served.
  9. Ensuring the proper handling of all food items in accordance with health & hygiene procedures.
  10. Reporting anything that may be considered a health or hygiene hazard.
  11. Participating in training programmes.
  12. Considering the availability of all raw food items and ordering items accordingly.
  13. Participating in receiving and checking incoming goods.
  14. Carrying out any external duties such as special events, promotions, and demonstrations.
  15. Carrying out any other reasonable request as directed by your manager.
  16. Aware of and comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Company H & S Manual as applicable to your place of work, including any specific hazards at your workplace.
  17. Aware of and comply with Food Acts.

Qualifications :

What you will need to do this role:

  1. 35 years experience in the Hospitality Industry.
  2. Outstanding communication skills both written & verbal.
  3. A confident & dynamic speaker able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
  4. Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others.
  5. Proven organizational skills, able to work well on their own, set and meet deadlines with quality results.
  6. Applicable job-related skills as per Accountable Duties.

Desirable:

  1. Experience working in 5-star hospitality.
  2. Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate level 2 or 3.
  3. Experience in fine dining restaurants or 5-star hotels.
