Operations Director Opportunity

Norse Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to join our team in Havant, Penner Road.

As Operations Director, you will play a key role in driving business growth and leading the commercial strategy, contractual performance, and operational delivery of our joint venture with Havant Borough Council.

The Role:

  • Develop and maintain key relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Drive business growth and ensure client and customer satisfaction is achieved to a high level, through strategic planning and execution.
  • Lead, manage, and direct senior and middle line managers, ensuring all staff operate within Norse Group's human resources procedures.
  • Prepare detailed annual budgets, business forecasts, and annual financial plans based on current contracts and anticipated business growth.
  • Ensure contractual obligations and statutory requirements are met within time and budget, through effective project management and risk mitigation.
  • Lead on Health and Safety, developing a positive health and safety culture, ensuring all staff are up to date on regulations and operational staff are trained to industry standard at all times.

About You:

You will have previous experience working at a Senior Management/Director level within a complex business, ideally with a background in grounds and/or waste management. You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Extensive senior management experience, including commercial and financial responsibility, and strategic business planning.
  • Experience in a multi-function service environment, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Articulate communication skills, with excellent written and oral skills, and the ability to liaise with decision-makers at all levels.
  • Knowledge of delivering frontline services, both private and public sector, with a focus on customer satisfaction and business growth.

Our Offer:

In exchange for your experience, knowledge, and commitment, you will receive:

  • A competitive starting salary of £70,000 - £75,000.
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
