Job Title: Childcare Deputy Leader

Mytime Active is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Childcare Deputy Leader to join our afterschool club team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and develop through a variety of play opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deputise for the Childcare Leader in their absence and ensure the day-to-day operational efficiency of the team is of the highest quality and fully compliant with relevant rules and regulations.
  • Provide a caring, safe and secure environment for children to learn and develop through a variety of play opportunities.
  • Use your skills and experience to support the development of children's social, emotional and cognitive skills.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the afterschool club.
  • Ensure all children have a designated key worker and a personal file.
  • Administer first aid when necessary and be responsible for ensuring all records of accidents and incidents are correctly logged, stored and monitored.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 or 3 childcare/play work relevant qualification.
  • Experience of working in an environment where children learn, play and enjoy leisure activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
