Job Summary

As a key member of the Regional Faculty for Advancing Practice, we are seeking experienced advanced practitioners/clinicians to support the development and implementation of advanced practice training programs. The successful candidate will work closely with the Regional Faculty and National Centre for Advancing Practice to drive the advancement of practice education and training.

About the Role

The Advanced Practice Training Programme Director will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of advanced practice training programs across the region. This will involve working closely with universities, trusts, supervisors, and trainees to create a safe and supportive learning environment. The role will also involve advising on educational and workforce development elements, including support for effective ICB/organisational workforce planning, educator development, and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced practice training programs across the region
  • Work closely with universities, trusts, supervisors, and trainees to create a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Advise on educational and workforce development elements, including support for effective ICB/organisational workforce planning, educator development, and resource allocation
  • Support the development of education where needed to support achievement of curriculum competencies, engaging with trusts as required
Person Specification

We are seeking candidates with a strong background in advanced practice education and training, as well as experience in leadership and management. The ideal candidate will have a Master's level qualification or equivalent experience, and current membership to a regulatory body or Fellowship of a College, Faculty, or professional association.

The successful candidate will also have extensive knowledge and understanding of the national advancing practice agenda, experience of bringing and supporting advanced practice trainees into a healthcare setting, and an understanding of AP roles within a range of healthcare settings from all professional groups.
