Job Title: RGN Nurse (Registered General Nurse)
Location: John Masefield House, 2 Old School Cottages, Burcot, Abingdon OX14 3DP
Rate Of Pay: Up to £22 per hour + Overtime
Shift Patterns: Full time 40 hours per week
About the Role:
As a skilled RGN Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will administer nursing care to ill, injured, and long-term service users, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
- Behave in a professional and discreet manner at all times and in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code.
- Be competent and confident in managing people with long-term health conditions.
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions/treatments for service users with complex needs.
- Proactively identify, diagnose, and manage treatment plans for service users (as appropriate).
- Prioritize health problems and intervene appropriately to assist service users in complex, urgent, or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.
- Recognize and work within own competence level.
- Produce accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of service user interaction and consultation, consistent with legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Support, manage, and guide support workers on a daily basis.
- Continual personal development to develop oneself and the role.
Necessary Experience or Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid NMC Pin.
- The ability to work on a shift/rota pattern.
- The right to work in the UK.
About the Service:
John Masefield House in Oxford is a specialist nursing home supporting adults with physical disability and/or long-term neurological conditions, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, brain injury, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, speech impairment, spina bifida, hydrocephalus, or stroke.
